- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into patties.
- In a skillet, brown the patties in butter.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add flour and stir to form a roux.
- Slowly add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
- Add patties back to the skillet and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes.
