- 4 boneless, skinless chicken fillets
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken fillet in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and top each chicken fillet with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Serve with pasta or a side salad.
- Can substitute chicken with eggplant for a vegetarian option.
