  • Author: Louna
  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 2 loaves (approximately 16 slices)

Description

Enjoy this quick and foolproof banana bread recipe with cake mix—it’s perfect for busy days or when you need a comforting treat in no time! 🍌🍞

Ingredients

Basic Recipe:

– 1 box of yellow cake mix (or spice/chocolate cake mix for variations)

– 3-4 ripe bananas (mashed, about 1 ½ cups)

– 3 large eggs

– ⅓ cup vegetable oil

Optional Add-Ins:

– ½ cup chocolate chips

– ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Preheat Your Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8×4-inch loaf pans or line them with parchment paper.

2. Mix the Batter:

In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep the bread light and fluffy. If you’re adding chocolate chips, nuts, or spices, gently fold them into the batter.

3. Pour into Loaf Pans:

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans, spreading it out with a spatula for even baking.

4. Bake the Banana Bread:

Place the pans on the middle rack of your preheated oven. Bake for 43-48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The tops should be golden brown and slightly domed.

5. Cool and Serve:

Let the banana bread cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve as a snack, breakfast, or dessert.
