- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a round cake pan and add brown sugar.
- Arrange banana slices over the sugar mixture.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter over the bananas in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for best flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve warm with ice cream for a treat.
