Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
- Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream.
