Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake with the flavor of bananas foster.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  7. Pour mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  8. Bake for 60 minutes or until set.
  9. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, rum, and cinnamon.
  10. Cook for 2-3 minutes until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens.
  11. Pour the banana foster sauce over the cooled cheesecake.

Notes

  • Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours before serving.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum.
