- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir the cooked beef into the ricotta mixture.
- Fill each pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- Use a different ground meat if desired.
- Top with fresh basil for added flavor.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked later.
