Description
A hearty dish combining black beans, rice, and sausage for a filling meal.
Ingredients

- 1 cup black beans
- 1 cup rice
- 1 pound sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse and soak black beans overnight.
- Cook sausage in a pot until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add onion and garlic to the pot, sauté until soft.
- Add soaked black beans, rice, chicken broth, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir in cooked sausage and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Serve warm.

- Adjust spices to your taste.
- For a vegetarian option, omit sausage.
- Can be served with avocado or cilantro.
