Description
A delicious side dish made with green beans, brown butter, and almonds.
Ingredients

- 1 pound green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
- Drain and immediately transfer to ice water to stop cooking.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat until it starts to brown.
- Add sliced almonds to the brown butter and toast for 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the green beans and add to the skillet.
- Toss to coat the green beans in the brown butter and almonds.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh green beans for the best flavor.
- You can substitute walnuts or pecans for almonds if desired.
- Adjust the amount of butter based on your preference.
