Description
Butter Chicken is a popular Indian dish made with tender chicken pieces simmered in a creamy tomato sauce.

- 1 pound chicken fillet, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt for at least 1 hour.
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are soft.
- Add marinated chicken to the pan. Cook until chicken is browned.
- Stir in tomato puree and sugar. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

- Serve with naan or rice.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Can use store-bought curry paste for convenience.
