  • 1/2 pound andouille sausage, sliced
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup flour (for gravy)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits.
  7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  8. In a skillet, cook andouille sausage until browned.
  9. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until softened.
  10. Stir in Cajun seasoning and flour; cook for 1 minute.
  11. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer, stirring until thickened.
  12. Add shrimp and cook until pink.
  13. Serve gravy over warm biscuits.
