California Roll Sushi Bowls are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines the flavors of sushi in a bowl format.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
- 4 sheets nori, cut into strips
- Soy sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a small saucepan, heat the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt over low heat until dissolved.
- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and mix in the vinegar mixture.
- Let the rice cool to room temperature.
- In serving bowls, layer the sushi rice, avocado, cucumber, and imitation crab meat.
- Top with nori strips.
- Serve with soy sauce on the side.
Notes
- You can substitute real crab for imitation crab if preferred.
- Add sesame seeds for extra flavor and texture.
