Description
A sweet and crunchy snack made from popcorn coated in caramel.
Ingredients

- 1 cup popcorn kernels
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stove.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook until boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.
- Pour the caramel over the popped popcorn and mix well.
- Spread the coated popcorn on a baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- You can add nuts for extra crunch.
- Use non-stick spray for easier mixing.
