Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stove.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook until boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.
  4. Pour the caramel over the popped popcorn and mix well.
  5. Spread the coated popcorn on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
