Delicious mini tarts filled with caramelized onions and cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 cup grated cheese (such as Gruyère or cheddar)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions, salt, and pepper. Cook until onions are soft and caramelized, about 20 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into small circles.
- Place pastry circles on a baking sheet.
- Top each circle with a spoonful of caramelized onions and a sprinkle of cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
Notes
- These tartlets can be served warm or at room temperature.
- You can use any cheese you prefer.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
