Description
Cheddar stuffed soft pretzel bites are a delicious snack. They combine soft pretzels with gooey cheddar cheese for a perfect treat.
Ingredients

- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, cubed
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt. Knead the dough until smooth.
- Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide dough into small pieces. Flatten each piece and place a cube of cheese inside.
- Shape the dough around the cheese and roll into a ball.
- Boil water and baking soda in a pot.
- Boil each pretzel bite for 30 seconds. Remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
