Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Spread marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
