Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and shape it into a loaf.
- Spread marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
