A simple and flavorful chicken gravy made in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the crockpot.
  2. Add chicken broth, onion, garlic, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Remove chicken and shred it.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
  6. Stir the slurry into the gravy in the crockpot.
  7. Cook on high for 15 minutes until thickened.
  8. Add shredded chicken back to the gravy and mix well.

Notes

  • Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
  • Can substitute chicken thighs with fillet.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
