Description

Chicken Kiev is a delicious dish featuring tender chicken breasts filled with rich herb butter, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.


Ingredients

  • 100 grams (about 7 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by pounding it to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  2. Make the garlic butter by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper, then freeze it shaped into a log.
  3. Assemble the Chicken Kiev by placing a piece of herb butter in the center of each chicken breast and rolling it tightly.
  4. Bread the chicken by dredging it in flour, dipping it in beaten eggs, and coating it with breadcrumbs.
  5. Refrigerate the breaded chicken for at least 30 minutes, then fry in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
