Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken fillet
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken fillet in the crockpot.
  2. Add chicken broth, crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
  5. Add pasta and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.

  • Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
  • Use any pasta shape you prefer.
