- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can kidney beans (15 oz)
- 1 can black beans (15 oz)
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- You can adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder or jalapeños.
- This chili can be made ahead of time and tastes even better the next day.
