A delicious chocolate peppermint tart perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients

			- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
 - 1 cup dark chocolate chips
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar
 - Whipped cream for topping
 - Crushed candy canes for garnish
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Mix cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
 - Press the mixture into a tart pan.
 - Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
 - In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until simmering.
 - Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and peppermint extract.
 - Stir until smooth and pour into the cooled crust.
 - Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
 - Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes before serving.
 
Notes
- Use gluten-free cookies for a gluten-free version.
 - Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to your taste.
 - This tart can be made a day in advance.
