A festive dessert that combines apples and cranberries in a flaky crust.

- 2 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix apples, cranberries, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
- Dot with butter.
- Cover with a top crust and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can be made a day in advance.
