Ingredients

  • 500g strong white bread flour
  • 75g sugar
  • 10g salt
  • 10g instant yeast
  • 4 large eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • 200g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 100g raisins
  • 100g candied orange peel
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  3. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
  5. Incorporate softened butter gradually.
  6. Add raisins and candied peel, mix well.
  7. Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  8. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
  9. Let it rise again for 30-60 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
