Ingredients

- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Boil carrots in salted water until tender.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
- Stir until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Add the carrots to the glaze and toss to coat.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can add chopped pecans for extra crunch.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- This dish pairs well with ham or turkey.
