A rich and creamy chocolate mousse perfect for Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 200g dark chocolate
- 4 large eggs
- 100g sugar
- 300ml heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Fold the melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
- In another bowl, whip the cream with vanilla and salt until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or chocolate shavings on top.
- Can be made a day in advance.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
