Description
A festive drink combining eggnog and cinnamon for a holiday delight.
Ingredients

- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup rum (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine milk and cream over medium heat.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale.
- Gradually add warm milk mixture to egg mixture, whisking continuously.
- Return the combined mixture to the saucepan over low heat.
- Add vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, stir in rum if using.
- Cool and refrigerate before serving.
- Serve chilled and garnish with extra cinnamon.
Notes
- Best served cold.
- Adjust sweetness to your taste.
