Delicious homemade Christmas marshmallows.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves.
- In a bowl, mix gelatin with 1/4 cup cold water. Let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Pour hot sugar mixture into the gelatin. Whisk until dissolved.
- Add vanilla extract and salt. Mix well.
- Pour mixture into a greased pan. Let it set for 4 hours.
- Dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be flavored with peppermint extract.
- Use food coloring for festive colors.
