Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 cups milk or water
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring milk or water to a boil.
  2. Add oats, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in cranberries and walnuts.
  5. Remove from heat and add maple syrup and vanilla.
  6. Serve warm, topped with additional cranberries or nuts if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • Can be made with almond milk for a dairy-free option.
