A festive breakfast option that combines oats with holiday flavors.
Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- 4 cups milk or water
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a pot, bring milk or water to a boil.
- Add oats, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in cranberries and walnuts.
- Remove from heat and add maple syrup and vanilla.
- Serve warm, topped with additional cranberries or nuts if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
- Can be made with almond milk for a dairy-free option.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
