A festive dessert with a creamy peppermint flavor and a chocolate crust.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and peppermint extract. Mix well.
- Fold in crushed peppermint candies.
- Pour mixture over crust in pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use regular or gluten-free chocolate cookies for the crust.
- Top with whipped cream and extra crushed peppermint if desired.
