Ingredients

  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of dried cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped celery and onion. Sauté until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and mix until the bread is moistened.
  6. Add walnuts and cranberries if using. Stir to combine.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown on top.
