Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, sugar, salt, butter, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise for 1 hour.
- In a bowl, mix cinnamon, brown sugar, and nuts.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the cinnamon mixture, and roll it up.
- Cut the roll lengthwise and twist the two halves together.
- Place in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use fresh yeast for best results.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
