Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture and milk to the wet ingredients.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts for the streusel.
  7. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the streusel mixture over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining batter and top with the remaining streusel.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
