Country apple fritter bread is a deliciously moist bread infused with chunks of apple and a hint of cinnamon, topped with a sweet glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze
- 1–2 tbsp milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before glazing.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk for the glaze, then drizzle it over the cooled bread.
Notes
- Use tart apples for the best flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
