- 6 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, mix flour, melted butter, egg, and vanilla to form a dough.
- Spread half of the dough in a pie pan.
- Add the apple mixture on top of the dough.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the apples.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the apples are tender.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for better flavor.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
