Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams ground beef
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 100 grams breadcrumbs (about 1 cup)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 can (400 ml) coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine ground beef, onion, garlic, ginger, curry powder, breadcrumbs, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs about 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter and place them on a plate.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, add coconut milk and lime juice, scraping up browned bits, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, coat them in the sauce, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to prevent tough meatballs.
- Do not overcrowd the skillet when cooking the meatballs.
- Always taste and adjust seasoning before cooking.
- Let the meatballs rest after cooking for better texture.
