Description

Fattoush salad is a refreshing Middle Eastern salad made with mixed greens and crispy pita bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup diced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup radishes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 large pita breads

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut pita bread into triangles and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast pita in the oven for about 10 minutes until crispy.
  4. In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, green onions, parsley, and mint.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, and salt.
  6. Pour dressing over the salad and toss well.
  7. Add crispy pita on top just before serving.
