Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal parts.
  6. Shape each part into a snowflake form and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
