Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Grease the waffle iron and pour batter onto it.
- Cook until waffles are golden brown and crisp.
- Serve with syrup or your choice of toppings.
Notes
- Use non-stick spray for easier removal.
- Top with whipped cream for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
