Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and lavender.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. For the glaze, mix honey, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
