Description
A healthy chicken gyros recipe made with marinated chicken, fresh vegetables, and a light sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole wheat pita breads
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp dill
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat.
- Cook marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes until fully cooked.
- Warm pita breads on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine yogurt and dill for the sauce.
- Assemble gyros by placing chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion in pita.
- Drizzle with yogurt sauce and serve immediately.

- Adjust seasoning as desired.
- Serve with additional veggies or salad.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
