This is a simple recipe for homemade vanilla cookies.

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Stir in milk until dough forms.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For a twist, add chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
