A simple guide to making oat milk at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon sweetener (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Combine oats and water in a blender.
- Blend on high for 30 seconds.
- Strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth.
- Add sweetener and vanilla if desired, and blend again.
- Store oat milk in a sealed container in the fridge.
Notes
- Shake well before using.
- Use within 4-5 days.
- Do not over-blend to avoid sliminess.
