A hearty pasta dish featuring Italian sausage and rigatoni.

- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and cook until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add Italian sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Once sausage is browned, add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add cooked rigatoni to the skillet and mix well.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.

- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
