Description
A delicious Jamaican snack filled with seasoned vegetables.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cold butter, diced
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Gradually add cold water to form a dough.
- Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add mixed vegetables, thyme, paprika, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles.
- Place vegetable mixture on one half of each circle.
- Fold and seal edges with a fork.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Serve with dipping sauce.
- Can be frozen before baking.
- Adjust spices to taste.
