Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Filling of your choice (fruit preserves, cream cheese, or sausage)
Instructions
- Warm the milk and dissolve yeast in it.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add butter, egg, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
- Add filling to the center of each circle.
- Fold the edges and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Experiment with different fillings.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place.
- Brush with egg wash for a shiny finish.
