Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Brown the chuck roast on all sides.
  4. Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
  7. Add carrots and mushrooms, cover the pot.
  8. Transfer pot to oven and cook for 3-4 hours.
  9. Check for tenderness; meat should be easy to shred.
  10. Serve topped with chopped green onions.
