Description

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Place the beef chuck roast in a roasting pan and cover it with the sauce mixture.
  4. Add sliced onions and chopped carrots around the roast.
  5. Pour beef broth into the pan.
  6. Cover the pan with foil and roast for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  7. Remove from oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

  • Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
