  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, lemon zest, lemon juice, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle and sprinkle with sugar and lemon zest.
  7. Roll it tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to create icing and drizzle over cooled rolls.
