Description

A delicious Thai dessert made with sweet sticky rice and ripe mango.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in water for 4-6 hours.
  2. Drain the rice and steam it for about 30 minutes until tender.
  3. In a saucepan, mix coconut milk, sugar, and salt over low heat until dissolved.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, mix half of the coconut milk mixture into the rice and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
  5. Peel and slice the mangoes.
  6. To serve, place sticky rice on a plate, top with mango slices, and drizzle with remaining coconut milk.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe mangoes for best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar based on your taste preference.
  • Store leftover rice in the refrigerator.
