- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, letting it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce mixture on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer half of the cheese-filled ravioli over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta cheese, and half of the remaining meat sauce.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining ravioli, ricotta, and meat sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes before serving, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
